Since the age of five I have loved my Lord and Savior Jesus, son of the living God. My walk with Him has been akin to climbing a large mountain filled with peaks and valleys and a prevailing sense that He is always with me and will never abandon me. I have always believed that my creative gifts are from Him and because of that wish to use them in a way that’s pleasing to Him. I have always tried to incorporate what the Lord is teaching me in my walk with Him into my paintings, even though a painting may appear to a viewer to not have any “religious” significance. I endeavor to bring a sense of comfort, hope and peace into life’s more challenging situations, through my work.

Prophetic painting is something I have been working on for the past 20 or more years. Prophetic is more than just foretelling the future but more predominately it is the “forth telling” of the glory of God.  “Telling forth” or “broadcasting” (as in sowing seed) the wonderful truths of God. We speak of them and we sing about them. We dance to them, write poems about them and we even paint paintings about them. If in fact we are created in the image of God, then God, being the creator, has made us to be creative people! This is wonderful and exciting news. We can touch and move people in the places that need healing and not even know we have, through our obedience to Him, done any such thing. People I don’t even know have come to me, tears in their eyes saying that my artwork has changed them and given them hope in the midst of a difficult life situation.
